Samaca 49 is a popular slate from Maria del Carmen quarry in the town of Ultimoreo, La Baña in Northern Spain and has been used extensively around the UK since the 1980's
With a rugged textured surface and heavily dressed edges, this slate has a rustic appearance. One of the few quarries to still be hand split and sorted means this slate is available in a wide variety of grades, thicknesses and sizes.
Approved for use in Snowdonia National Park due to its similarity to Ffestiniog Welsh Slate.
